Look Down
As a kid I had a “talent” for finding four leaf clovers. Stretching before a run recently I looked down and noticed one staring me in the face. And reconnected with my childhood. In fact, over the past weekend I found 23!
We are surrounded every day with messages to “look up,” “look ahead,” “look back,” but not so many to “look down.” Except “mind the gap!” A quick Google search for “look up” results in 560m hits while “look down” only 231m hits. So, while you are looking up for inspiration or ahead for direction or back for perspective, remember to look down. It is amazing what’s at your feet!

Floating Architecture: Finding Ways to Live With Rising Water
“The Ark is a hotel by Russian design firm Remistudio and is meant to be self-sufficient. The transparent foil roof would allow light to reach plants inside, and the waste produced in the building would be converted into fuel. The cupola form is meant to be energy-efficient, and its shell basement with cables and arches is designed to distribute weight evenly to make it earthquake- and flood-resistant. ”
I’ll turn this into a lesson for fellow readers. Once again, I forgot to submit my TIMESHEET. And it was due 2 days ago, but I forgot to do it, since I didn’t have a shift that day.
Consequence: I might not get paid until the next pay period. Usually it’s 2 weeks, but for me, it’s one month.
Don’t be like me. (‘-_-) <—— *shame face*
And I guess I won’t let the task go unnoticed this time: you know what’s worse than using a hand shovel to dig a gosh darn hole for 2 hours in the hot sun — and getting blisters all over your fingers and palms? Loading, unloading, digging some more, and then placing bricks down with the same blistered hands.
Not just little bricks, the LONG kind… >:O <—- *angry face*
Was I digging a hole to hell? Because my hands buuurrnnn… >:/ <—- *odd, angry, sarcastic face*
